RSE Students make the top 10 in the World Inter-University Student Economics Tournament.

Jonny Lang , Thomas Dunbabin and Ben Jefferson

First year students Jonny Lang (Commerce/Arts), Ben Jefferson (Economics/Arts) and Thomas Dunbabin (Economics/Law) represented the ANU as one of 87 teams, from 87 Universities across 32 countries, in the annual week-long Inter-University Student Economics Tournament hosted by lud.io in November 2018.

Placing 12th in the first round mono-player simulation by managing production decisions across a number of varied markets the team progressed to the finals. The finals were a similar simulation, but with the aim of managing airline fleets across multiple routes to maximise profit.

The final rankings saw the ANU team place 6th ahead of University of Michigan and University of Chicago.

The Research School of Economics wishes to congratulate the 2018 ANU team.
